The Mental Health for US Unite for Change Forum: California is bringing our community together to talk about solutions to the most pressing issues facing our nation: mental illness and addiction. Now more than ever, it’s crucial that we unite for change.

This event, featuring a town hall with former U.S. Representative Patrick J. Kennedy and other national and local advocates, will provide the tools, training, and education you need to be an effective voice for these issues throughout the 2020 election. We’re also inviting 2020 presidential candidates to attend and discuss their plans for improving our mental health and addiction care systems.

Speakers include:

  • NBC News senior national correspondent Kate Snow
  • Panel discussion featuring policy insights from USC law professor Elyn Saks and political scientist Norm Ornstein
  • Panel discussion with advocates, community members, and USC students in recovery on how we can all be better advocates for mental health and addiction at the federal, state, and local level
  • Singer/songwriter and mental health advocate Kiana Ledé
  • Local stories of hope and resilience from California residents who have been affected by mental illness or addiction
